Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey
We are rapidly growing as an organisation, and we are on an exciting journey to determine our ESG strategy and turn it into a concrete roadmap by the end of 2023.
2023 ESG initiatives
In building our ESG strategy, we are focusing on 3 key activities:

1. Performance baselining
We are assessing the ESG maturity of all of our businesses and benchmarking to industry standard.
Within our M&A process, all target acquisitions are always subject to ESG due diligence.

2. Double materiality assessment
In order for us to identify the key ESG topics to focus on for our business, we have completed a double materiality assessment - looking at their external impact and financial materiality.

3. Ambition setting
After baselining our ESG performance and determining the material ESG topics for PPG, we will define KPIs and create our ESG multi-year roadmap, which will be rolled out in 2024 and beyond.

Anonymous reporting
Our company strives to maintain a transparent business climate and high business ethics. Our whistleblowing service is an early warning system to reduce risks. It is an important tool to foster high ethical standards and maintaining customer and public confidence in us.
The whistleblowing service is provided by an external partner WhistleB, Whistleblowing Centre, to ensure anonymity. The communication channel is encrypted and password-protected. All messages will be processed in confidence.
